Tonga Tsunami 2025. The volcano had been actively erupting since 20 dec 2021. The eruption triggered tsunami waves of up to 15m which struck the west coast of tongatapu, ‘eua and ha’apai.

It created a tsunami which triggered warnings across the entire pacific. Here we show its spatiotemporal signature as revealed by hundreds of publicly available coastal tide.
